This is lunch at our local restaurant. This is lunch at hundreds of restaurants (tascas) around Lisbon. ð² It looks like a dark greasy spoon from the outside. The specials are written by hand and stuck to the window. But once youâre in and sitting down you can see how much care goes into everything. Beer in chilled glasses. Wine in a dinky glass carafe. Fresh tablecloth. Sparkling cutlery. ð½ Our waiter is always patient and gracious, stepping in to try and help when Google Translate canât. The food is simple and delicious and the portions are generous. We see people of all ages here, every day – from big boisterous families to chatty OAPs to sharply dressed professionals. ð¥ There are hundreds of these neighbourhood eateries dotted all over the city. Definitely worth exploring them!
